Expedition dungeons and Hard mode
The four official expedition dungeons and the Hard mode rules NC added in October.

NC says AION 2 has more than 200 dungeons across solo, five-player and ten-player formats. The expedition dungeons are the headline group content, and all instanced content is cross-server within your region.
The four expeditions
- Krao Cave: a cavern where the legacy of war sleeps, until greed breaks the seal and the experiment subject Berk wakes
- Urugugu Canyon: a sanctuary deep in Tolbas Canyon, home of the divine bird Auldor
- Fire Temple: a lava-cavern temple full of traps and guardians, ending at an altar with a sentient mirror
- Draupnir: a cave consumed by an unknown dimension, where Bakarma is reborn as a new Dragon Lord
Hard mode
The October 20/21 patch added Expedition Hard mode to Krao Cave and Draupnir:
- Entry requires item level 2,600
- Boss Frenzy triggers after 4 minutes
- Each player has 3 revives
- New rewards, including a chance at Philosopher's Stone: Revelation (Bound), which can also be chosen as a guaranteed reward
