Start with the people you want to play with. Agree on a region together, then consult the official client for the available servers and any character-creation restrictions. Your Pulse language and region are independent preferences; changing the website language does not move your game character.

NC describes global AION 2 as a PC MMORPG with flight and combat built around movement, timing, and positioning. Our recommendation is to spend your opening session getting comfortable with camera movement, targeting, and the controls offered by the current client. Try settings in a quiet area before entering group content.

Choose a class whose identity appeals to you. The official class introductions are a useful starting point, while numerical builds need a region and patch date to remain meaningful. Avoid committing resources based only on an undated ranking.
